SUMMIT PUSH
A complete off-season FRC game, designed end to end: manual, field CAD, drawings, and vision layout.
Two alliances of three robots climb opposite flanks of the same peak, ferrying supplies to a 90 inch spire that lights tier by tier as camps are established. A randomised forecast at the start of the match forces genuinely branching autonomous routines, and the last thirty seconds are a climb on a truss leaning at fifteen degrees.
Discipline Breakdown
What This Was, per Discipline
Per element field CAD with bills of materials in an official and a low cost plywood version, plus dimensioned SVG drawings of the field and game pieces.
A 1,375 line game manual across six sections, a locked design specification, and six research documents, all red teamed before release.
A 26 tag AprilTag 36h11 field layout with mounting geometry and simulation guidance for both PhotonVision and Limelight backends.
Every field element specified so it can be cut from plywood by a team with a circular saw, not only by a machine shop.
The package contains a design research foundation, a locked design specification, a full game manual that went through a red team pass, per element field CAD with bills of materials in both an official and a low cost plywood version, dimensioned SVG drawings of the field and game pieces, and a 26 tag AprilTag 36h11 layout with mounting and simulation guidance for PhotonVision and Limelight.
The hardest constraint was buildability. A game that cannot be built out of plywood by a team with a circular saw is not an off-season game, it is a wish. Every field element carries two bills of materials for that reason.
